COVID-19 Cooperation

Given the critical nature of the worldwide COVID-19 outbreak, in February 2020, K-Challenge saw an opportunity in providing vital coronavirus diagnostic kits to Estonia and other EU countries as cost-efficiently and fast as possible in collaboration with our partners, EDGC and SolGent. From March 2020 on, K-Challenge has been officially appointed as the General Distributor of SolGent DiaPlexQ Novel Coronavirus Detection kits in the global markets. K-Challenge is actively contributing to the fight against the spread of COVID-19.

2019 Estonian Waste Management Delegation to South Korea

In October 2019, K-Challenge planned, organized, and delegated a high-level visit by the Estonian Waste Management delegation to Seoul, South Korea. The large delegation included experts from the Estonian Circular Economy Industries Association, representatives from local governments, Estonian landfill and recycling companies, as well as the Tallinn Waste Recycling Center. High-level meetings in Seoul included discussions with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Gangnam Resource Recovery Facility and with representatives from the Seoul Upcycling Plaza. Additionally, the visit included excursions to local landfill sites.

2019 SK Biopharm Meeting With Estonian IT Delegation

In September 2019, K-Challenge organized and delegated a visit by Estonian delegation representatives to Seoul, South Korea. High-level meetings with Korean government representatives included discussions on bilateral Estonia-Korea ICT cooperation at the Ministry of Science - Technology and Innovation, Security Labs, and at the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB).

2019 SK Telecom Estonian MFA Memorandum

On the 4th of July 2019, K-Challenge Inc. contributed to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between SK Telecom and the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. The aim of the memorandum is to facilitate further collaboration between Estonian companies and research institutions. In doing so, SK Telecom could share their knowledge and expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, e-Residency and industrial innovation.


2018 President Kaljulaid MOU With Gyeonggi Province

Official Visits of President Kersti Kaljulaid to South Korea.

In February 2018, K-Challenge was in charge of the official delegation of Estonian government representatives and the President of Estonia, Kersti Kaljulaid, to South Korea, marking the first ever visit by an Estonian state head to South Korea. During the visit, President Kaljulaid and the former governor of Gyeonggi Province signed an economic MOU cooperation agreement between Estonia and Gyeonggi Province. Additionally, K-Challenge planned, organized and hosted the opening of the first e-Residency Collection Centre in South Korea with the aim to promote Estonia and its digital solutions.

Through the 8-11th of October 2018, K-Challenge was in charge of the delegation of President Kersti Kaljulaid to South Korea. We arranged multiple meetings between the President and high-ranking local government officials with mutual interests for improvement of bilateral and economic ties between Estonia and South Korea.

2019 K-Challenge World Knowledge Forum

Through the 10-12th of October 2018, K-Challenge organized a private press conference for Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid and the e-Residency Deputy Director, Ott Vatter, to raise awareness about Estonia and the e-Residency program, thereby introducing Estonia, its business and investment opportunities. In addition, we had the privilege to operate an Estonia-related promotional booth at the prestigious 19th World Knowledge Forum in Seoul, successfully introducing Estonia, e-Residency and Estonia’s investment opportunities to the thousands of conference participants worldwide.


K-Challenge Global Blockchain Policy Conference

On the 10-11th of October 2018, K-Challenge planned, organized, and facilitated the Global Blockchain Policy Conference (GBPC) held at the National Assembly of South Korea with the intent to foster ideas from experts in the public & private sectors and hold in-depth discussions with respective parliamentary members from all around the world. The conference contributed to the establishment of safety measures to prevent dangers associated with blockchain and cryptocurrency, and provide feasible cooperation between countries on cryptocurrency exchange regulations and technology. The conference was organized by K-Challenge in collaboration with the National Assembly of South Korea, the Korea Fintech Industry Association and Maeil Business Newspaper.

 
2017 Estonian ICT Delegation to South Korea

In April 2017, K-Challenge planned and led the Estonian ICT delegation’s official visit to South Korea with the aim to enhance business cooperation and talent exchange between the two countries.

 
2017 Gyeonggi Province Delegation Visit to Estonia and Latvia

In December 2017, K-Challenge organized the visit of Gyeonggi Province representatives to Estonia and Latvia. The delegation’s visit to Estonia included participating in highly recognized conferences such as Moontec, the Nordic Blockchain Summit, and meetings with the CEO of Funderbeam, representatives from Startup Estonia and Mektory - Tallinn University of Technology. During the fruitful meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, mutual cooperation possibilities between Estonia and Gyeonggi Province were discussed and future agendas established. The delegation's visit to Latvia included meetings with representatives of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and various startups with interests in exporting their products and services to South Korea.
